This workshop will explore the deep connection between skin—our largest organ of elimination and outer covering which protects and mediates our internal and external environments—and our internal life and drive to health. We will discuss a mainstream approach to skin care, which employs aggressive treatments in the name of "beauty," and the use of products created from questionable ingredients. We will also identify a more holistic approach that includes healthful foods, adequate exercise and sleep, and biodynamic, organic products that nurture skin AND spirit.
